The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show
April 25 through 28, 2013
Admission $5, children under 12 are free.
Join the Wharf for a boat show unrivaled on the Gulf! After VIP access, Thursday, April 25, the show opens to the public Friday, April 27, and lasts through the weekend. On display will be the whole range, from luxury yachts and grand fishing vessels, down to personal watercraft. Already have a boat? There will be all sorts of marine vendors showing fishing equipment, performance gear and engines, electronics, and accessories. Finish the festivities Sunday, April 28 with a Cajun Jumbo Cookout.
2013 is the innaugural year for The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show, though it is not, as some have reported, the first spring-time boat show for The Wharf. Some may be confused by such reporting, recalling the shows of years past. It is simply an organizational change. The organization that conducted the previous "Gulf Coast Yacht and Boat Show" has moved their show to Gulfport, Mississippi, and will be holding it April 4 through 7, 2013.
The 2013 Wharf Boat and Yacht Show is being piloted by Coastal Marina Management and the Central Gulf Marine Trades Association. Already on board are over 75 vendor and exhibit displays and 26 boat dealers, manufacturers, and brokers. With The Wharf being home to regional branches of powerhouse Galati Yacht Sales and Gulf Coast Hatteras, and the proximity of acclaimed shipbuilder Saunders Yachtworks, it's sure to be an amazing show.
Now added to the festivities will be the 4th Annual Bama Coast Cruise, April 25-27. So now the best boat show on the coast will also have one of the best car shows on the coast! Come see the classic cars and trucks, plus vendors, prizes, awards, and a $1000 poker run!
What may make the Wharf Boat and Yacht Show even more enticing is the proximity of the Wharf's wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. While not everyone in the family may be as enthralled by the salt life as others, NO ONE can go bored at the Wharf. The numerous restaurants mean that food will be far beyond the usual corndogs and carnival fare, and less interested members of the family can browse the shops, see a movie, ride the ferris wheel, or even play Laser Tag!
